When I was working double shifts at a bar and a café, I had so much energy. Even while juggling two jobs, I still managed to publish a post every day, fit in activities on my days off, and live at a crazy pace.
But after cutting back to just one job and dedicating more time to my blog, something strange happened—I started feeling more tired, with noticeably lower energy levels. It didn’t make sense. One of my biggest concerns was that once I left my barista job (which required me to stand for ten hours a day) and transitioned to sitting at a computer, my energy levels would drop even further. I wondered what I could do about it.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
As the days passed, I found myself sitting at my computer, completely absorbed, not wanting to get up. Even when I felt a slight hunger pang, I had to force myself to take a break and make something to eat—only to rush back to my desk, as if I were magnetically drawn to it.
At night, I struggled to fall asleep because my mind was overflowing with thoughts about the process—ideas for making it work, things I needed to write down, tasks that would help me move forward. I felt like a powerhouse of energy.
And then it hit me. I realized that the force driving me was the strongest one in the universe—love.
I am in love with the process.
Yes, it sounds like a cliché, but suddenly, everything made sense.
It explained my dedication, my obsession, my determination, the emotional rollercoaster every time something worked—or didn’t.
I am in love.
And when I’m in love, I do whatever it takes to make it work.
Only this time, my partner is incredibly easy to please.
This process teaches me about myself. It gives me immediate feedback when I make mistakes, and together, we adjust and move forward.
Sure, I get frustrated when it reveals things I should have realized a long time ago—but hey, better late than never.
So I always thank the process and keep going, fueled by love.
Maybe this is the real secret to success—not just doing what you love,
but falling in love with the process itself.
Falling in love with the long hours, the challenges, the highs, and the lows.
Maybe this is the deepest kind of love—the one that isn’t just about the result,
but about every single moment along the way.
Your support helps me keep experiencing new worlds and sharing them with you through my words. Sometimes, a single cup of coffee can make a difference.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
